I was looking at these handcrafted sterling silver toe rings and began to wonder if I am able to make toe rings on my own.
Unlike rings, toe rings are supposed to be adjustable and their sizes can be expanded by pulling them wider than squeezing them around the point to be worn on the toe.
So generally, toe rings comes in cuffs rather than bands.
One way to look at this is that a toe ring can be formed by coiling a rounded strip of metal into a circle.
Damien is into metal smithing and can help me with trying out strips of sterling silver of different thickness.
Will I be able to carve designs onto the silver strips?
Not so sure about that but I can glue bead onto the silver strips to form some nice designs.
Is that too much trouble to make my own handcrafted sterling silver toe rings?
